Greenbelt Police Report: March 23 - March 28

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Center City

March 23 at 11:06 p.m.:    DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Capitol Drive. Charles Hayward Ware, 43, of Temple Hills, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 24 at 3:12 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Walker Drive. Brandon Winslo Shackelford, 26, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 27 at 10:24 p.m.: Burglary. 2 court Research Road. Electronics were taken.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

March 23 at 8:48 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics were taken.

March 25 at 2:23 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Branchville Road. Zachary John Belmont, 21, of Rockville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 26 at 2:11 a.m.: Disorderly Conduct. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Leticia M. Nyerere, 53, of Landover, and Florence Mageni, 45, of Greenbelt, were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. The suspects were released on citations pending trial.

At 2:13 p.m.: Vandalism. 5900 block Springhill Drive. A window was broken.

March 27 at 12:35 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Mandan Road. Sergio Amado Torres, 19, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

At 1:15 p.m.: Vandalism. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. A window was broken.

At 3:31 p.m.: Burglary. 9300 block Edmonston Road. Electronics were taken.

At 7:58 p.m.: Vandalism. 9300 block Edmonston Road. A window was broken.

At 11:53 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. Susan Marie Hartwick, 50, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 28 at 2:15 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Cherrywood Lane. Carson Darnell Wooten, Jr., 32, of Berwyn Heights, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 28 at 10:33 a.m.: Vandalism. 9100 block Edmonston Road. A window was broken.

At 7:58 p.m.: Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Graffiti was found in the stairwell.

March 25 at 8:04 a.m.: Burglary. 8000 block Brett Place. Nothing was taken.

March 27 at 1:34 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Baltimore Washington Parkway. Diamond Nyenoworth Budy, 26, of Woodbridge, VA, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 8:15 p.m.: Trespassing. 7500 block Greenbelt Road. Curtis Edward Allen, 33, of Cheverly, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Automotive Crime - City Wide

March 27: Theft from Auto. 200 block Lakeside Drive. A backpack and sneakers were taken.
