Greenbelt Police Report Includes Robbery of Greenway Center CVS

The following arrest information, from March 7 - 15, was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Center City
March 7 at 10:40 p.m.: Disorderly Conduct. 6400 block Capitol Drive. Jermaine Andrew Cole, 27, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

March 14 at 12:17 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Ivy Lane. Jerry Nathaniel Walker, 33, of Beltsville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park
March 8 at 6:02 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Court. Furniture was taken.

March 9 at 1:32 p.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Edmonston Road. Jewelry and electronics were taken.

March 10 at 11:57 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 5900 block Cherrywood Lane. Thomas Aaron Jones, Jr., 24, of Beltsville, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

March 12 at 7:14 p.m.: Attempt Burglary. 9100 block Edmonston Court.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center
March 8 at 8:16 p.m.: Robbery. 7600 block Greenbelt Road. The suspect displayed a handgun and took money from the cash register. The suspect is described as a black male, mid 40’s, 5’10”, medium build, bald, wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

The Greenbelt Police informed Patch on Tuesday that this robbery with a dangerous weapon occurred at CVS.

March 9 at 2:07 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 7500 block Greenbelt Road. Charles Edward Beckwith, Jr., 42, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 11 at 6:34 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Ora Glen Drive at Hanover Parkway. Joseph Antoine King, 47, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 12 at 8:25 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 7800 block Mandan Road. A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license, after a traffic stop. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

March 12 at 6:10 p.m.: Burglary. 7200 block Morrison Drive. Electronics were taken.

Automotive Crime - City Wide
March 8: Vandalism. 7900 block Mandan Road. Tires were cut on several vehicles.

March 9: Stolen Vehicle. 7700 block Hanover Parkway. A blue 2002 Ford Taurus with MD tags was taken.

March 10: Theft from Auto. Unit block Southway. A set of MD tags were taken.

March 12: Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Graffiti was found on a vehicle.

March 12: Stolen Vehicle. 7500 block Greenbelt Road. A black 2000 Honda Civic with VA tags was taken.

March 15: Recovered Stolen Tag. 6400 block Ivy Lane. A rear MD tag, reported stolen from Bowie, was recovered. No arrests were made.
