Greenbelt Police Report: Robbery and 4 Burglaries
The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department for May 17 - 23. It does not indicate a conviction.
Center City
May 18 at 11:58 p.m.: Burglary. 200 block Lakeside Drive. Jewelry and electronics were taken.
May 20 at 2:04 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Lakecrest Drive. Kevin Verrett, 44, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.
May 23 at 11:25 a.m.: Burglary. 100 block Westway. Electronics and currency were taken.
Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt
May 18 at 8:40 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. Michael Winter, 45, of Laurel, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.
At 10:23 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. Carlton Elwood Carey, Jr., 28, of Fort Washington, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.
May 20 at 12 p.m.: Strong Armed Robbery. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Three suspects approached the victim and demanded money.
May 21 at 9:35 a.m.: Vandalism. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A sliding glass door was broken.
May 23 at 12:10 a.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Edmonston Terrace. Electronics were taken.
Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center
May 17 at 4:42 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 7700 block Hanover Parkway. A resident juvenile was petitioned for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing on posted property. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services. Emmanuel James-Perry, 20, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.
May 19 at 2:15 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 7700 block Greenbelt Road. Brendon Luis Maurmeier, 28, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.
May 21 at 9:17 a.m.: Attempt Burglary. 7800 block Mandan Road.
At 9:59 a.m.: Burglary. 8000 block Mandan Road. Nothing was taken.
Automotive Crime - City Wide
May 17: Vandalism. 6100 block Breezewood Court. A window was broken.
May 18: Theft from Auto. 9000 block Edmonston Road. A catalytic converter was taken.
Theft from Auto. 7800 block Walker Drive. A catalytic converter was taken.
May 20: Stolen Vehicle. 6200 block Springhill Drive. A gold 2006 Nissan Maxima with MD tags was taken.
May 22: Theft from Auto. 8000 block Mandan Road. Electronics were taken.
