Greenbelt Police Report Includes 6 Drug Arrests, 4 Burglaries and 12 DWI Arrests

The following arrest information, from March 14-22, was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Center City
March 15 at 9:20 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 6400 block Capitol Drive. Ainsley Nicole Davis, 23, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. Jourdan Patrick Hamilton, 21, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on a citation pending trial.

March 16 at 9:11 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Lakecrest Drive. David Reel, Jr., 43, of College Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 17 at 3:56 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Rt. 495. Andre Oneil Smith, 32, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 10:52 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Lakecrest Drive. Srinivas R. Ganti, 59, of Daneville, IL, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 18 at 1:45 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Edward Antonio Magruder, 41, of Mt. Rainier, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 4:47 a.m: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Lakecrest Drive. Quentin Allen Hairston, 27, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 20 at 1:19 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Eric Ghakanyuy Lamlenn, 35, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 2:32 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 7800 block Kenilworth Avenue. Brian Keith Moreland, 23, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with possession of PCP, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 7:56 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Michael Edward Halvosa, 44, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park
March 14 at 8:44 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Ivy Lane. Antonio Gomez, 29, of Riverdale, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 15 at 7:54 p.m.: Burglary. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. Electronics and currency were taken.

March 17 at 6 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 6200 block Springhill Court. Lae Sabastian Taylor, 27, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with possession of Ecstasy and disorderly conduct. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 1:34 p.m.: Vandalism. 6100 block Breezewood Court. A rock was thrown through a window.

March 18 at 3:32 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 6100 block Cherrywood Lane. Anthony Roget Hines, II, 18, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

At 7:05 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 9300 block Edmonston Road. Ulises Carlea, 52, of Landover, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 8:12 p.m.: Strong Armed Robbery. 6000 block Greenbelt Road. The victims were approached by five suspects, who assaulted them and took their property. The suspects are described as black males, 14-16 years old.

March 19 at 1:01 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 6100 block Cherrywood Lane. Paul Richard Hansberry, Jr., 23, of Baltimore, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 5:04 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. Jewelry and currency were among the items taken.

March 20 at 11:42 p.m.: Vandalism. 9200 block Springhill Lane. A door was broken.

March 22 at 12:10 a.m.: Burglary. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Electronics and jewelry were taken.

At 2:17 a.m.: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 5500 block Cherrywood Lane. Ebidu Koroma, 18, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Theft over $1000 and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, after being stopped in a silver 2001 Chevrolet Impala with MD tags, which was reported stolen through Montgomery County Police. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 1:31 p.m.: Vandalism. 6200 block Springhill Drive. A rock was thrown through a window.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center
March 16 at 3:58 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 8000 block Mandan Road. Cameryn Wallace Evan Zigler, 20, and Trayvon Jamar Neal, 18, both of Greenbelt, were arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. Both suspects were released on a citation pending trial.

March 17 at 2:17 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Hanover Parkway at Greenway Center Drive. Leroy Fletcher, Jr., 59, of Hillcrest Heights, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 11:10 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Ora Glen Drive at Mathew Street. Emmanuel Obeng Nyarko, 27, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 18 at 2:46 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Rt. 295. Alexander Scott, III, 49, of Laurel, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 21 at 8:28 p.m.: Burglary. 6000 block Green Crescent Court. Currency was taken.

Automotive Crime — City Wide
March 19: Vandalism. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. Fuel lines were damaged.

March 21: Theft from Auto. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. CD’s, a stereo faceplate and currency were taken from two vehicles.

Theft from Auto. 6100 block Breezewood Court. A GPS and a stereo faceplate were taken.

Vandalism. 6100 block Breezewood Court. A window was broken.

Attempt Theft from Auto. 9100 block Edmonston Terrace.

March 22: Vandalism. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. A door lock was damaged.
