Greenbelt Police Report: Drug Arrest, 2 Vandalisms, 5 DWIs

Five DWIs, a drug arrest, 2 vandalisms, and 5 automotive crimes including vandalisms in the Greenbelt Police Report from Aug. 16 to Aug. 21. 

Center City

Aug. 18 at 12:09 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Southway. A 22-year-old Montgomery Village woman, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. 

At 2:09 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Rt. 295 at Greenbelt Road. A 26-year-old Forestville man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

Aug. 16 at 7:45 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 6100 block Springhill Drive. A 41-year-old Greenbelt man, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Aug. 18 at 10:22 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. A 21-year-old Greenbelt man, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 1:52 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Breezewood Drive at Cherrywood Terrace. A 30-year-old New Freedom, PA, man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Aug. 19 at 1:35 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. A 28-year-old Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Aug. 21 at 1:33 p.m.: Vandalism. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. A window was broken.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center

Aug. 16 at 5:33 p.m.: Vandalism. 7900 block Mandan Road. Graffiti was found on an outside wall.

Automotive Crime - City Wide

Aug. 18: Vandalism. Unit block Gardenway. A side mirror was broken. 

Aug. 19: Vandalism. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. A tire was flattened.

Theft from Auto. Unit block Gardenway. A rear MD tag was taken.

Aug. 21: Stolen Vehicle. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. A dark blue 2008 Kia Spectra with DC tags DE0608 was taken.

Theft from Auto. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A VA temporary tag was taken.
