Center City

Nov. 9 at 3:30 p.m.: Disorderly Conduct. 100 block Centerway. A Springdale man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Nov. 14 at 12:26 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Lakecrest Drive. A Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

Nov. 10 at 1:55 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Court. Electronics were taken.

At 6:50 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. A Baltimore man was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

At 11:15 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 6100 block Springhill Drive. A New Carrollton man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. 

Nov 13 at 9:41 a.m.:Burglary. 9300 block Edmonston Road. Nothing was taken. 

Nov. 14 at 8:31 a.m.: Attempt Burglary.5800 block Cherrywood Lane. A male Greenbelt teenager was arrested and charged with attempted 4th Degree burglary and trespassing on posted property, after trying to break into a vacant apartment. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. A resident juvenile was petitioned for the same charges and released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services. A male Greenbelt teenage suspect and a male Landover teenage suspect were arrested and charged with trespassing on posted property. Both suspects were released on a citation pending trial.

Nov. 15 at 12:42 a.m.: Armed Robbery. 6200 block Springhill Drive. The victim was approached by three suspects, who produced a handgun, assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The victim was not injured. The suspects are described as males, wearing all black clothing and black masks.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center

Nov. 10 at 12:43 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Hanover Parkway at Greenbrook Drive. A Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

10:14 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Rt. 295. A female Greenbelt teenager was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citation pending trial. 

Nov. 11 at 4:18 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Hanover Parkway and Green Manor Court. A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Nov. 12 at 12:49 p.m.: Vandalism. 6900 block Hanover Parkway. Graffiti was found on a set of outside stairs.

At 9:49 p.m.: Carjacking. 7500 block Greenbelt Road. The victim was not injured. No further details are available at this time, as the investigation is continuing.

Nov. 14 at 1:25 a.m.: Burglary. 7500 block Greenbelt Road. Consumable goods were taken.

Automotive Crime—City Wide

Nov. 9: Vandalism. 6200 block Greenbelt Road. A windshield was damaged.

Stolen/Recovered Vehicle. 7800 block Walker Drive. A blue 2004 Ford Crown Victoria with VA tags was taken. The vehicle was recovered later that day by Fairfax County Police. No arrests were made.

Nov. 11: Vandalism. 7200 block Morrison Drive. A car window was broken.

Nov. 12: Theft from Auto. 7200 block Hanover Parkway. A GPS unit and currency were among the items taken.

Nov. 13: Theft from Auto. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. A GPS unit and a camera were taken.
