Greenbelt Police Report: 5 DWIs, 3 Burglaries, 2 Vandalisms, 1 Attempted Burglary

The following crime information, from July 6 to July 11, was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Greenbelt Police report for July 6 to July 11 includes five DWIs, three burglaries, one attempted burglary, and two vandalisms—and police list 13 items under automotive crimes.

Center City

July 6 at 12:15 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Rt. 495. Matthew Joseph Waldow, 24, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 1:12 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Capitol Drive. Michelle Lynn Hay, 41, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 2:04 p.m.: Vandalism. Unit block Crescent Road. A fence was damaged.

July 7 at 12:07 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Lakecrest Drive. Uzomo Agubude Enworom, 35, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

July 6 at 10:02 a.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Lane. Electronics, jewelry and currency were among the items taken.

July 7 at 4:55 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. Nothing was taken.

At 9:45 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Eleasin Sandoval Lopez, 21, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

July 9 at 1:38 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Pontiac Street. Victor Manuel Ugalde, 65, of Hagerstown, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 6:11 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. A laptop was taken.

July 11 at 3:58 p.m.: Vandalism. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. A window was broken.

July 7 at 1:52 a.m.: Attempt Burglary. 7900 block Candlewood Place.

Automotive Crime - Citywide

July 6: Stolen Vehicle. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A black 2012 Chevrolet Malibu with WV tags was taken.

July 7: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 6000 block Springhill Drive. A blue 1994 Plymouth Voyager van with MD tags was taken and later recovered by the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia. No arrests were made.

July 8: Stolen Vehicle. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. A yellow and black 2004 Suzuki motorcycle with CA tags was taken.

Vandalism. 7900 block Kara Court. A window was broken.

Vandalism. 7800 block Mandan Road. A vehicle was scratched.

July 9: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 9100 block Edmonston Terrace. A blue 1998 Dodge Stratus with MD tags, reported stolen through Prince George’s County Police, was recovered. No arrests were made.

July 10: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A blue 2002 Jeep Liberty with DC tags was taken and later recovered by Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia. No arrest were made.

Vandalism. 200 block Lakeside Drive. A gas tank was damaged.

Attempt Theft of Auto. 6200 block Springhill Court.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 9100 block Edmonston Court. A Honda CB series motorcycle with VA tags, reported stolen from Fairfax, VA, was recovered. No arrests were made.

July 11: Theft from Auto. 7000 block Megan Lane. A pair of sunglasses was taken.

Attempt Theft from Auto. 8000 block Greenbury Drive.

Theft from Auto. 6500 block Springcrest Drive. A Metro Smart Trip card was taken.
