Greenbelt Police Make Arrest on Recent Armed Robberies

Greenbelt Police arrest a suspect in three recent armed robberies and a burglary.

Emergency Response Unit moved in Tuesday making an arrest for three recent armed robberies and a burglary. They also recovered property belonging to the victims, and a large quantity of narcotics, according to police.

Assisted by the Laurel Police Department Emergency Response Team, at around 6 a.m. police served a search warrant at 141 Westway Road, Apt. T4 in Greenbelt. They arrested Delvin James Ware, 20, according to Greenbelt Police.

Police charged Ware with three counts of armed robbery and one count of first- degree burglary. He was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Two of the robberies took place in the University Square area, specifically the 200 block of Lakeside Drive and the 100 block of Westway Road. The third robbery occurred in the 7500 block of Greenbelt Road. The burglary was reported in the unit block of Southway.
