Greenbelt Police Increase Fleet for St. Patrick’s Day
The Greenbelt Police have announced an increase in enforcement for St. Patrick's Day on Thursday.
Revelers beware: The Greenbelt Police are increasing sobriety enforcement on St. Patrick’s Day this coming Thursday.
According to the announcement, since 2000 about half of all crash fatalities that occurred in the mid-Atlantic region on St. Patrick’s Day were alcohol related.
Greenbelt will enlist the help of extra police that evening, and SoberRide will offer free taxi services to reduce drunk driving in Greenbelt that night.
