Greenbelt Crime: Vandalism, Burglaries Reported

Several automotive crimes, drug arrests and DUIs took place in Greenbelt over the Fourth of July holiday and early last week.

Check out a list of incidents below, courtesy of the Greenbelt Police Department.

City-wide Automotive Crime

Theft from Automobile: July 4, 6000 block of Greenbelt Road. A car stereo face plate was taken.

Stolen/Recovered Vehicle: July 6, 9100 block Edmonston Terrace. A black 1997 Acura with Maryland tags was taken. The vehicle was recovered July 9 by Prince George’s County Police. No arrests were made.

Stolen Vehicle: July 7, 6100 block of Springhill Terrace. A white, black and red 2012 Yamaha motorcycle with Maryland tags was taken.

Vandalism: July 7, 7500 block of Mandan Road. Lipstick was smeared on a car window.

Theft from Automobile: July 7, 8300 block of Canning Terrace. A rear Maryland tag was taken.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: July 8, 7500 block of Mandan Road. A gray 2013 Chevrolet Cruze with Florida tags, reported stolen through the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, was recovered. No arrests were made.

Theft from Automobile: July 9, 100 block of Westway. A car stereo system was taken from three vehicles.

Vandalism: July 9, 100 block Westway. A car window was broken.

Theft from Automobile: July 9, 7700 block of Hanover Parkway. An iPod was taken.

Vandalism: July 9, 7700 block of Hanover Parkway. A car window was broken.

Drug Arrest: July 5, 9:51 p.m.; Kenilworth Avenue at Good Luck Road

DUI/DWI Arrest: July 5, 11:13 p.m.; Kenilworth Avenue at Westchester Park Drive

DUI/DWI Arrest: July 6, 11:58 a.m.; Kenilworth Avenue at Greenbelt Road

DUI/DWI Arrest: July 7, 1:10 a.m.; Kenilworth Avenue at Greenbelt Road

Drug Arrest: July 7, 1:02 p.m.; Kenilworth Avenue at Pontiac Street

Vandalism: July 8, 12:58 p.m.; 7900 block of Belle Point Drive

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: July 8, 5:09 p.m.; Kenilworth Avenue at Good Luck Road Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

Burglary: July 5, 6:54 p.m.; 9100 block of Edmonston Road. Electronics and currency were taken.

Drug Arrest: July 5, 8:47 p.m.; Greenbelt Road at 62nd Avenue

Vandalism: July 6, 6:11 p.m.; 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace. A glass door was broken

Burglary: July 8, 11:31 a.m.; 6200 block of Springhill Court. Electronics were taken.

Greenbelt East and Greenway Shopping Center

DUI/DWI Arrest: July 5, 11:58 p.m.; Hanover Parkway at Hanover Drive
