Greenbelt Crime: Armed Robbery, DUIs Reported

An unsolved armed robbery and several incidents of driving under the influence were reported by Greenbelt’s police department.

The armed robbery took place at 11:22 p.m. July 12 on the 7700 block of Ora Court. Police are looking for three suspects who approached the victim from behind, displayed handguns, assaulted him and took his property.

The Greenbelt Police Department is offering rewards for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of these suspects. Call 1-866-411-TIPS to anonymously submit information.

Seven individuals were arrested for driving under the influence. Two of the arrests took place at the same time along the 6400 block of Capitol Drive the evening of July 12.

City-wide Automotive Crime

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: July 12, 9100 block of Edmonston Road. A gold Dodge Caravan with North Carolina tags was recovered by Prince George’s County Police. No arrests were made.

Theft from Automobile: July 12, 7700 block of Hanover Parkway. A purse and clothing were among the items taken.

Theft from Automobile: July 13, 6900 block of Hanover Parkway. Several items, including purses and wallets, were taken from three different vehicles.

Theft from Automobile: July 15, 8000 block of Mandan Road. A car’s front wheel was taken.

Theft from Automobile: July 15, 6600 block of Springcrest Drive. A .22 caliber rifle and a fishing rod were among the items taken.
