Robbers Hit Females With Pepper Spray, Steal Hair in Greenbelt

Two males made off with hair and currency from Her Import in Greenbelt and sprayed two females with pepper spray on Friday, Sept. 21, according to Greenbelt Police. The robbers fled in a black vehicle, possibly a Buick or Toyota, police said.

"Two females had effects from the pepper spray. One was treated by on scene," according to Officer Kelly Lawson, Greenbelt Police spokesperson.

Lawson said her report just said hair was taken; it did not specify what that meant.

The robbery occurred at 7:41 p.m. at the 7900 block of Belle Point Drive.

The suspects are described as black males, who are 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 9, and 140 pounds; one of them was wearing green contact lenses and a gray hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
