Armed Robbery, Several Burglaries Reported in Greenbelt

Crime reports released on Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 show some of the burglaries reported in Greenbelt, MD.

Several crimes were reported in Greenbelt this month and here are the recent highlights, according to Greenbelt police:

Feb. 8 at 6:05 a.m.
Burglary reported in the unit block of Parkway. Travis Demetrius Avery, 21, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with two counts of second degree burglary, after officers linked the suspect to the burglaries of several storage units. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Feb. 9 at 1:27 a.m.
Armed Robbery reported in the 6200 block of Springhill Court. The victim was approached by the suspect, who displayed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet, police said.

Feb. 14 at 11:54 p.m.
Burglary reported in the 6200 block of Springhill Court. Antoine Jamar Samuels, 26, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with 4th degree burglary, trespassing on posted property, resisting arrest and failure to obey a lawful order. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
