On Friday, February 15, Explorations Unlimited welcomes Ms. Olga Robinson. She will be presenting on Living with Deafness/Exploring both worlds. She has lived with deafness since birth and has been exposed to both the hearing and deaf cultures. She will be sharing her own experiences based on how she dealt with it, finding her identity, educating people about deafness, and how she survived in both worlds.  This is a great opportunity for you to gain a better understanding of the role deafness can play on an individual’s life and communication abilities.

Ms. Robinson received an A.A. Degree from NTID in Applied Art and Computer Graphics in 1994. She graduated in 2008 with a B.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 2008, she has been working for the Greenbelt Recreation Department as part time Therapeutic Recreation Assistant. During the summers, she provides Therapeutic Recreation services to the summer camps. She enjoys her summer job because it brings her challenges working with children with disabilities.
