WMATA Releases New Bus Schedules

With just a few weeks left before the implementation of the new Metro and TheBus services, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has finally released bus schedules.

There are lots of changes to be accounted for. Service for the T16 and T17 Metrobus lines will be discontinued, while new lines between Greenbelt and New Carrollton will be added, G12, G13, G14 and G16.

Also the roll of the R12 bus has changed, it used to serve the route between the Greenbelt Metro Station and the Deanwood Station via Kenilworth Avenue, but now it will reroute in Springhill Lake and between Kenilworth Avenue and College Park Station, with a loop through Beltway Plaza. There is also one trip time change, the Greenbelt Twinbrook Line for Route C4 only will leave Twinbrook station at 5:36 a.m. instead of 5:42 a.m.

All of these changes will go into effect Dec. 20.
