What's Up With the Green Line: Thanksgiving Weekend

Parking is free at all Metrorail parking facilities on Thanksgiving.

Green Liners will get a break as will all lines, as Metro states there will be no significant track work over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Parking is free at all Metrorail station parking facilities on Thursday and Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule, opening at 7 a.m. and closing at midnight. On Friday, Metro will resume its regular weekday schedule.

Airport Express Line from Greenbelt Station to BWI Airport
If you're heading out of town on Thanksgiving day or afterward, it's not too late to go to the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport via Metro.

Take the Green Line to Greenbelt station and transfer to the B30 Metrobus northbound. According to Metro's schedule you can get there in about 30 minutes from the Greenbelt Metrorail station, once your bus sets out.

It's $6, and other than a stop right on Greenbelt Metro Drive, the B30 doesn't have any scheduled stops until it gets to the airport. Metro also states that it will place additional buses into service as needed.

Metro lists the regular B30 departure and arrival times along with supplemental times through the holiday weekend, as well as the timetables for your return trip to Greenbelt Metro, this time on the southbound B30 Express.

This is a summary of Metro's announcements for the weekend. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority lists further details.
