What's Up With the Green Line: January 6 - 8

Green Line trains will be sharing track this weekend in Metro work zones.

After the holiday break, Green Line track work is back on the schedule.

From 10 p.m. Friday through closing Sunday, Green Line trains will share one track between Georgia Ave-Petworth and Fort Totten to allow for rail maintenance.

Green Line trains will also share one track between Naylor Road and Branch Ave to allow for fastener renewal.

Metro has announced that Green Line trains will operate every 15 minutes.

If you're transferring off the Green Line to another line, keep in mind that Red, Blue and Orange lines are also slated for work this weekend. So be on the lookout for work zones on other Metro lines, where trains will be sharing the same track
