The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for Prince George's County and much of the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. area starting at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.

NWS predicts winds from 20 to 30 mph with gust up to 55 mph. The strongest winds will be late this afternoon through this evening, according to NWS. The current advisory ends at midnight.

The wind gusts may make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The NWS advises drivers to use extra caution.
