Spring Thaw Event and Walk in the Greenbelt Woods

GHI's Woodlands Committee invites Greenbelt residents to enjoy some refreshments while learning more about the woods and common areas.

The Greenbelt Homes, Inc. (GHI) Woodlands Committee invites residents to its Spring Thaw event. The woods and gardens are coming alive and beginning to bloom — and so are the weeds. It's a great time to find out what the GHI Woodlands Committee is all about: meet the members, meet some neighbors, learn about the woods and common areas, and enjoy some refreshments.  There will be a walk in the nearby woods too, weather permitting.

The Spring Thaw gathering is on Saturday from 1-3 p.m., at the on Hamilton Place. No reservations are required. Prospective co-op members who will already be on hand for the 11 a.m. GHI pre-purchase orientation are encouraged to stick around afterward and make a few more friends.

The Woodlands Committee is staffed with experts and just plain folks, with a love of the woods in common. Meet environmentalists, landscapers, plant scientists, journalists and simple gardeners and woods walkers. Getting out into the woods will revive your spirits and put spring in your step. Doing so with some knowledgeable people makes it even more fun and informative. And on top of the personal benefit, it will make a difference in the future of the woods and quality of life in GHI and Greenbelt.
