Spring Ahead This Weekend

Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, affecting Metro riders.

Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, which means it is time to change your smoke alarm batteries.

Late-night Metro riders should take note: The Metro is open every Friday and Saturday night until 3 a.m. But with the time change happening at 2 a.m. Sunday, it will close an hour earlier than usual.

The time change springs us forward an hour so that 2 a.m. becomes 3 a.m., closing time for the metro. Customers should plan for the last trains to pass through the station an hour earlier than normal.
