Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect

Updated post, 7:04 p.m.: As thunderstorms have swept through the area, power outages throughout Prince George's County are being reported to Pepco.

Outages are being reported in College Park, Hyattsville, Greenbelt, Riverdale Park and University Park, according to Pepco's outage map.

Original post, 4:54 p.m.: A thunderstorm watch is in effect until midnight in Prince George's County and other areas in the Washington, D.C., area, according to the National Weather Service.
