Scantily Clad Mom Awaits 'Maury' Makeover Debut

The "Maury" show is set to air the makeover of vinyl styling mom Tracey Carter on Thursday.

Greenbelter Tracey Carter describes herself as a plus-size artistic nude model. Even when clothed, she said, “I wear a lot of vinyl and thigh highs.” This may explain why her son, Anthony, feels protective of her in public.

According to Tracey, she can’t even walk down the street without Anthony losing it if a man looks at her. “My son is an ex-Marine and he is not to be played with,” she said with a hint of pride.

Thus, the clothing tug of war — to air Thursday. After unfriending his mom on Facebook, Anthony hoped to come home with a photo that he felt comfortable posting on his page.

Tracey explained that her style is all part of a personal mission. Even before going on “Maury” to pre-tape the episode, Tracey had some stipulations for the show’s producers aimed at helping her reach out to Rubenesque women. Among them, she had to be able to talk about her new black look book “Love Self A Real Plus Size Woman.”

The book is not porn, she insists, but rather art — with pictures of Tracey, a.k.a. Love Self, wearing vinyl, paint and sometimes nothing. “Our bodies are beautiful and sexy and desirable,” she said, as she expounded on her mission to liberate other "plus-size queens" to love their bodies.

Though it’s dedicated to him, Anthony said he can’t look at the book. “That’s not something a son wants to see, when your mom is pretty much covered in paint,” he said. “Other people want to see it, but I don’t want to see it.”

It’s not easy, Anthony said, but that doesn’t stop him from supporting his mom. “He won’t be able to see me in the pictures,” Tracey said, but “as far as family, he’s the only one who has believed in me.”

Believe in her, yes, but not without his moments. On the way to the “Maury” show, Anthony said the limo driver was trying to hit on Tracey. Anthony quickly let it be known that he was her son and the driver reeled it back in. But his mom didn’t help, Anthony said, she flirted right back.

“It’s like he’s always been the dad, and I’ve been the rebel teenager,” Tracey said.

Whether Anthony will get a Facebook photo that he can use remains to be seen. You can find out on "Maury" Thursday. Playing on WDCW at 4 p.m — Channel 3 for some Verizon Fios subscribers and Channel 10 for some Comcast subscribers. Check your guide for listings.
