Print Coupon, 'Dine Out,' Save 20 Percent

See restaurants near Greenbelt that are taking part and save up to 20 percent on your checks.

Throughout September, nearly 200 restaurants in Maryland will offer special 20 percent discounts as part of a new program, Dine Out, Maryland. See some particpating restuarants near Greenbelt, MD below.

Sponsored by the Restaurant Association of Maryland, the initiative is to help promote association members (i.e., your local restaurant businesses) during September, which is traditionally a slower month in the restaurant industry, according to Dine Out, Maryland's website.

To get the discount, print out the coupon, visit a participating restaurant during the month of September, and mention to your server before ordering that you have a "Dine Out, Maryland" coupon to use.

The 20 percent discount may or may not include alcohol, set meal prices or a restaurant's full menu. The Restaurant Association of Maryland chose 20 percent as the discount because, "[according] to our survey results, 15 [percent] was not a big enouch incentive for a majority of the dining public, but 20 [percent] was. The majority of restaurant operators surveyed would participate for 20 [percent] off in the month of September to drive new traffic to their restaurant and reward loyal customers," the association's website stated.

Participating restaurants near Greenbelt include:

C.J. Ferrari’s (Entire Menu Excluding Alcohol)

Ledo Pizza – Bowie
(Lunch Only - Special Ciabatta Menu)

Ledo Pizza – Seabrook
(Lunch Only - Special Ciabatta Menu)

Ledo Pizza – Silver Spring | Colesville
(Lunch Only - Special Ciabatta Menu)

Check out the nearly 200 restaurants in Maryland that are participating.

Considering the sorry state of sex education in schools today and parental reluctance for teachingRead More anything but abstinence (if they teach anything at all), I'd suggest that the sale shouldn't even be questioned. When we decide education means more than just saying "no," when boys and men learn that it's as much their responsibility as women's to avoid unprotected sex and that violence against women is wrong, and when we teach consequences along with abstinence, then perhaps the pill won't be necessary. I don't see that day coming for a long, long time. Now, if the course "Our Whole Lives" taught by Unitarian Universalists became standard education in every school, perhaps we wouldn't need emergency contraception. Education (knowledge) is power.

Betsy, I agree with a lot of your post; many parents seem to feel that if they tell their childrenRead More about sex, it's the same as telling them to go out and do it. I'm willing to bet that more young people get into trouble by ignorance than by knowledge. (and I haven't read the text that you mentioned but yes, education/knowledge IS power).

By all means, give them the pill and let them stop trouble in its tracks. From that moment forward,Read More encourage them to find safer ways to have fun.
