Parent Talk: Where to Find Scholarships

Parents Talk asks your advice on where to find scholarships for your graduating seniors.

June 3, graduation day, is fast-approaching.

University and College tuition raises every year, sometimes every semester, so parents need to prepare themselves and their kids for this financial burden.

Prince George's County offers several scholarships that can help. The Prince George's Elected Municipal Women can help out young women who are either graduating from high school or in their first two years of college; the due date for this scholarship is April 22. Senator Paul Pinsky also has a scholarship for all graduating seniors or undergraduates in college that is due April 8. Finally, for students living in District 22 and attending a Maryland university or college, Delegate Anne Healey has a $200 to $2000 scholarship due April 15.
