Last Chance: Help Alight's Kickstarter Campaign, Try March's Seasonal & Savory

Our new 'Last Chance' feature lets you know about important upcoming deadlines.

It's your last chance to check out a demo at the co-op, vote early, enter a contest and support the kickstarter campaign. Here are more details:

  • On Wednesday, you’ll have a chance to take part in this month's Seasonal & Savory demo in the from 4 – 6 p.m. It features a spinach quinoa salad with roasted grapes, pears and almonds. There will also be a wine tasting!
  • It's just about election season. Early voting for the Presidential Primary Election opened Saturday and runs until Thursday. Early voting centers will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. One of the centers is nearby at the . The absentee ballot deadline is Tuesday. Find more info, including .
  • The deadline to enter the Maryland Municipal League's 2012 “If I were Mayor, I would…” essay contest is Friday. The statewide contest is open to all fourth graders. The winners will be recognized by Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown, receive a Governor’s Citation, an award plaque and $100 cash in a public ceremony on Friday, May 20, at the Maryland State House.   • Sunday is the last day of alight dance theater’s Kickstarter campaign to raise individual donations to fund . The funds will go toward "Hometown Heroes," an alight original production, which will tell the stories of Greenbelt women—past and present, in a history brought to life through drama and dance.
