Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Pr. George's County Monday

Severe storms with large hail and damaging wind gusts are possible.

Prince George's County faces thunderstorms Monday, with the possibility of a few becoming severe enough to produce large hail and damaging wind gusts, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and scattered thunderstorms are forecast for Monday morning. Showers are also likely with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The weather service warns of hazardous weather conditions for the county and other parts of Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington during the day and continuing Monday night.

The high Monday is forecast in the mid 80s with an 80 percent chance of rain. While the night is predicted to be mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 70s and a 50 percent chance of rain.
