Co-op Offers Halloween Treats Cooking Demo and Wine Pairing
Celebrate Customer Appreciation Day at the Greenbelt Co-op Supemarket Wednesday with its Seasonal and Savory cooking demo and paired wine sampling.
Drop by the Greenbelt Co-op Supermarket between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday to celebrate Patron Appreciation Day with a cooking demo and wine samples, as well as store discounts. This month its Seasonal and Savory demo features Halloween treats.
Co-op staff Ellen Siegel and Kim Rush Lynch work together to prepare savory dishes that feature items from the produce department and store. They aim to encourage shoppers to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Co-op wine consultant John Mealey also recommends and offer samples of a few wines to pair with the dishes. Participants must be 21 years of age or older, and proper identification is required.
On Customer Appreiciation Day, shoppers save $1 on all tasting wines and 5 percent on all purchases, according to the co-ops website.
