Greenbelters Present at Research Symposium

Several residents presented at the Catholic University of America's Third Annual "Bridging the Spectrum" research symposium Feb. 25.

Three Greenbelt residents were among the more than 50 presenters at the Third Annual “Bridging the Spectrum” research symposium Feb. 25.

The symposium served as a forum and networking event for students and faculty in the library and information sciences and services.

Michael Chesnes, of the LAC Group, headed a presentation entitled, “A Year of Mobile Librarianship at NASA Goddard" with two colleagues. Then, Marianne Giltrud, Catholic University Librarian, presented "Mobile Technology: A Case Study." And keeping with the theme of new technologies, Eileen Boswell, who is an information specialist at the Community Transportation Association of America, gave a presentation on the use of social media for trade shows and professional conferences.
