Greenbelt Under Flash Flood Watch Through 6 PM

Forecasters are expecting another 1-3 inches of rainfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Greenbelt, Prince George's County, and much of the surrounding region through 6 p.m. Tuesday.

"Showers and thunderstorms will continue to produce moderate to heavy rainfall through the rest of the afternoon," the NWS warns. "One to three additional inches could cause flooding or flash flooding."

The service urges residents to monitor forecasts and "be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued."
