Freezing Rain Possible Monday Morning

The Monday morning commute may be icy, according to the latest National Weather Service report.

It'll be an icy Monday morning in Prince George's County, according to the National Weather Service, where freezing rain and sleet are in the forecast.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Forecasters predict that ice will create slippery conditions on roadways, bridges and sidewalks.

Federal agencies will operate on a delayed arrival schedule and employees should remain off the roads until after 10 a.m., according to an alert from Prince George's County officials. Federal offices will open at noon on Monday. Federal employees can opt to telework from home or take unscheduled leave.
