Great tandem recumbent bike for someone with autism
This bike is in excellent condition. Just had a complete tune-up at Pro Tech Bike shop in Sunrise. AT $999 it's the least expensive recumbent tandem on the web right now. Most first time recumbent riders love the wide comfortable seats, these bikes are easy to get used to. The seats easily adjust without tools for riders from 5' to 6'4". It has adjustable OSS handlebars that look a bit like a Harley chopper. The Sun's wheelbase is long, 7' 7", which makes it stable, even at high speeds. If you value comfort and ease of use over high performance and hill climbing you'll love this bike. Many riders find them almost as comfortable as the RANS Screamer tandems at a much lower price.
My autistic son and I loved riding this bike. We tried the Buddy Bike but he was too big for the front seat and I wasn't able to control the bike as well from the back. With the large seat and long high web back my son stayed put in the back and we had many miles of fun riding together. This bike is great for a child with autism, we always felt safe and secure. As he's gotten older he's picked up other interests and just doesn't want to ride anymore.
