Phone Lines Are Down Indefinitely in the Co-op

The Greenbelt Co-op's phone lines went out Friday, June 24, and will be out until a new part arrives.

The phone lines went out Friday morning at the and had not been restored as of Monday evening at 6:20 p.m. So if you’ve been calling and getting continual ringing or a busy signal – like me – no, they’re not ignoring you.

Co-op office manager, Betty Edwards, relayed that Verizon came out Monday. After investigating the problem, she said, Verizon reported they had to order a new part in order to make the repair, which they declared to be a top priority. Edwards said they did not provide an estimate for when the part would arrive.

So if you need information from the Co-op, it might be a good time for a short car ride or a stroll down the walkways and underpasses of our green city.
