Just in time for the holidays, Kohl's Department Stores plan to hire 595 workers in Maryland.
According to an article in the Baltimore Business Journal, the chain announced its plans to hire 40,000 holiday workers for each of its 1,089 stores. This equals out to about 35 workers per store and since Maryland has 17 stores, that's 595 new hires for the holiday season.
Kohl's began the hiring process this month and will fill positions by mid-November with each position being a commitment of a few hours to more than 20 hours a week. The available jobs include; unloading trucks, freight processing, stocking and cash register attendants.

Also according the Business Journal a few other stores are hiring for the holidays too. Best Buy plans to hire 29,000 seasonal workers for the holiday season. Toys "R" Us has plans to hire 35,000 people. Macy's was also seeking 174 workers across Maryland stores.
