Furloughed? Who Says There's No Such Thing as a Free Lunch & Movie

Enjoy a free lunch and movie on Beltway Plaza.

Government employees are looking at having to take furloughs in light of the sequestration, but one local mall is hoping to help them enjoy their time off.

Beltway Plaza mall announced its "Beat the Furlough" program that would offer a free lunch and movie to any government employee furloughed between now and April 29.

“We want to help those that’ve been furloughed from their jobs with a stress free day," Marc “Kap” Kapastin of Quantum Companies, the firm that manages Beltway Plaza Mall, said. "We think a free lunch and a movie will take their minds off the fact that they’ve been furloughed from their jobs."
