Readers' Choice: Best Workout Spot

It's a fitness face-off between four neighboring cities and towns in Prince George's County.

This week we want to know what your favorite place to work out is across College Park, Greenbelt, Hyattsville, and Riverdale.

When it comes down to it, what do you look for in a fitness center? Does it need to look Louis XIV's court, with all of the beautiful people?

Perhaps feeling all Greta Garbo-like, you instead say "I want to be alone!" If you're gonna turn red, gasp for air, and fill the atmosphere with your "health aroma," how much company do you really need?

Maybe, you care about other things like a convenient location, a good price, enough equipment that you don't have wait for a turn, or friendly staff. Whatever it is that makes your workout spot the get all be all, let us know in the comments below.

And the contenders are…

The poll will stay open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties between workout spots will be broken by whichever business gets the most positive comments below or in the reviews on their directory listings linked above. If your business is listed here, learn how to claim your listing.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editors, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places and in comments on this article. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. We will announce the winner at noon on Friday.

So tell us which is your favorite place for a workout. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.

I've been a member of Gold's Gym in Greenbelt for almost two years!! Its not the biggest or the fanciest- but when you are there you become part of the "family". The entire staff is helpful and knowledgable. Big enough to get me results, small enough to make me feel at home. I love it.

This is what I use. Small scale, but quiet and cheap and has everything I need.

Hi Chrissy, Thanks for the suggestion! Just added it as a poll option.
