The Music Man is Greenbelt’s Next “Senior Globetrotting” Trip

Bus trip to Arena Stage is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13.

As a part of the continuing “Senior Globetrotting” trip series, Greenbelt Department of Recreation Therapeutic Supervisor Karen Haseley plans to take 40 people to see the Arena Stage’s Production of The Music Man on Wednesday, June 13.

“We’ve gone on an overnight trip to Fredricksburg, toured Baltimore in the Baltimore Ducks, gone to dinner theatres, museums, done apple picking, kayaking and we’re planning a trip to Graffiti House, a Civil War historic building in September,” said Haseley.

The Music Man trip is currently fully booked, but according to Haseley, she often gets last minute cancellations and invites interested seniors (and others) to place their names on the waiting list. To place your name on the waiting list, visit the Greenbelt Department of Recreation online or in person at the , located at 15 Crescent Road in Greenbelt. The trip costs $70 (residents), $82 (non-residents) and includes bus transportation and a box lunch. The bus will depart the Greenbelt Community Center at 10 a.m. and will return at 4:30 p.m.
