Super Cheap Movie Night

This week's Frugal Family, I thought I'd start with some superhero activities the whole family will really get a kick out of.

Remember last week's suggestion to check out the super DVD collection at the Hyattsville library? How about renting some campy favs like "Batman," the TV series, or my favorite "Wonder Woman." TMI (too much information) that I actually had a Wonder Woman swimsuit? How cool was she? Or Aquaman? Just to name a few.

Now for an outdoor  jaunt.  Have you checked out the new and improved duck pond in University Hills, you can see it off of Route-193. Turn left onto Adelphi Road from Greenbelt Road, then turn right just after University of Maryland graduate student apartments. Keep going straight and the park is on right, rife with ducks, turtles, frogs and fountains. Enjoy.

If you saved those classic Fisher Price toys like I did, bring them out and make up games with Pokemon or whatever your child enjoys. You may be surprised at the fun you all encounter.
