Ruthie & the Wranglers Play at New Deal Tuesday

With more than 25 Washington Area Music Awards to back them up, band members will play rockin' American roots music in Greenbelt, MD.

Ruthie & the Wranglers will play at the in Greenbelt, MD, Tuesday night from 7 to 9. The Washington, DC area based band, plays music from American country to rousing surf instrumentals.

What sets them apart from the rest is clever lyrics, high energy and spritely hillbilly harmonies, according to the group's website.

The band also reports 25 Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIES) under its belt, or guitar strap—including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Band members behind the music are: Ruthie Logsdon (vocals, rhythm guitar, mandolin); Greg Hardin (bass, vocals); Andy Rutherford (guitar, baritone guitar, lap steel, vocals); Bill Starks (piano, vocals); Robbie Magruder (drums).
