Local Churches' Palm Sunday Schedules

A guide to Palm Sunday services and traditions in Greenbelt

Palm Sunday is a time when Christian churches commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, traditionally celebrated one week before Easter Sunday. Palm Sunday falls on April 17 this year.

Churches often distribute palm fronds to their congregations during the ceremony. Some churches distribute them outside and then lead a processional into their buildings for a service, while others distribute them inside.

The services often draw large crowds, so we’ve compiled a list with scheduling information. Try to arrive early to ensure that you will get a seat. Here are some of Greenbelt’s Palm Sunday celebrations.
