Jazz, Bebop, Bossa Nova and Electric Cello at New Deal Saturday

Djesben returns to the New Deal Café stage promising surprises and a special guest—Wytold.


Djesben returns to the Saturday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be joined by special guest Wytold on electric cello. Djesben promises some special surprises in an epic End-of-Summer show, on it's Facebook invite

Djesben plays originals, jazz tunes, bebop, bossa nova, rock covers and improvisations. And it's no secret that the share a mutual affection.

Wytold performs electric cello arrangements with progressive world rhythms and was recently chosen as an artist in residence for the Strathmore, according to Reverbnation, which also posts samples of Wytold's music.

The New Deal Café generally requires no cover charge for entertainment, but encourages patrons to make donations to the performing artists.

It invites patrons to enjoy wine and drinks from its bar and partake in Lebanese Mediterranean-based menu selections.

The café is in the historic  in the heart of Old Greenbelt.
