Holy Week and Easter Services in Greenbelt

Local churches are offering services during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday. Three of the churches will join together for an Easter sunrise service on Sunday, April 24, at Buddy Attick Park.

Catholic Community of Greenbelt

• Holy Thursday, April 21: Seder meal (potluck) and Mass at 6:30 p.m.
• Easter Sunday, April 24: Mass with Easter liturgy at 10:00 a.m.

Greenbelt Baptist Church

• Maundy Thursday, April 21: Service at 7 p.m. Communion will be served.
• Easter Sunday, April 24: Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. at Buddy Attick Park (Greenbelt Lake); Service at the church at 11:00 a.m.

Greenbelt Community Church

• Maundy Thursday, April 21: 7:30 p.m. Holy Communion and The Office of Tenebrae Service, which involves a series of readings from the gospels that recount the events of Holy Week, ending with the crucifixion. During the readings, the lights will be lowered until the service ends in darkness to await the Easter dawn.
• Easter Sunday, April 24: The church will participate in the 7 a.m. Ecumenical Easter sunrise service at Buddy Attick Lake (Greenbelt Lake). Service with communion at the church.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church

• Holy Thursday, April 21: Services at 12:15 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Good Friday, April 22: Services at 12:15 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Easter Sunday, April 24: 9:30 a.m. with Holy Communion. Easter brunch and an Easter egg hunt will follow the service.

Hope Fellowship (Greenbelt Community Center, multipurpose room #201)

• Easter Sunday, April 24: Service at 11 a.m. with special music.

Kingdom Christian Center Church International (Lanham, Md.)
