Summer of Even More Irresponsible Science

The experience of perpetual, participatory pandemonium that wowed, bewildered and astonished visitors to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor last summer has returned! Now through Labor Day, the Maryland Science Center presents the Summer of EVEN MORE Irresponsible Science.

All new contraptions and experiments like the Chicken Flinger (a real-life Angry Birds!), powerful Can Crusher and flaming, whirling Tornado of Fire have been added to the irresponsible inventory alongside returning favorites like the Super Squirting Sphere of Science and the Toilet Paper Cannon. Maryland Science Center visitors will witness robots operate a Rube Goldberg machine, popping hydrogen balloons into bursts of flame.

Guests will harness chemistry and physics to create take-home science toys and see what electric contraptions can be assembled from the innards of old televisions. The fashion forward can even design wearable, light-up accessories with circuits and LEDs.
