GAVA/GATE Animation Celebration of Greenbelt's 75th Anniversary

For young people who like art, this free project offers the chance to learn animation. Beginning in January 2011, young animators in the program will start creating a 3-D scene and characters based on their vision of Greenbelt.  Participants must live in Greenbelt and be between the ages 11-14.  George Kochell, a longtime animation instructor, will be leading the workshops along with Tom Baker, a studio artist at the Greenbelt Community Center. Winter animation workshops will be held on Saturdays, followed by a spring workshop session.
