Costume Parade Takes Over Roosevelt Center

Several parents and children gathered at Roosevelt Center for treats, and in some cases prizes, during the Halloween Costume Parade Friday.

Despite the windy weather, several local families donned their Halloween best for the annual Costume Parade and Contest at Roosevelt Center Friday.

Princesses, a totem pole and even ninjas went door-to-door to the local businesses for candy hand outs and then stopped by the judges table where council members Silke Pope, Mayor pro tem Emmett Jordan and Leta Mach were choosing the best costumes in eight different categories.

Winners of the costume contest received an extra candy basket from the announcer.
