Announcement: Greenbelt Blues Festival Saturday
Acoustic and electric blues, Blues Burgers, sweet potato fries and coleslaw—in Roosevelt Center.
Blues Festival Announcement from Terri Rutledge, Business Manager for the New Deal Café:
Saturday, Sept. 15, the will bring a day of free acoustic and electric blues to the Roosevelt Center in old Greenbelt. The music will run from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. outdoors, and continue inside the café until 11 p.m. Ten bands will perform onstage in front of the Mother and Child statue, with picnic tables set up for seating.
Chef Karim and Maria will again be serving a special meal of a Blues Burger, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, a favorite and a sell-out for the past two years! Lawn chairs and blankets are also welcome. The festival is sponsored by Friends of New Deal Café Arts (FONDCA) with support from the City of Greenbelt, and the New Deal Café.
