Summer's Last Hurrah? Prince George's Heats Up

It's going to feel close to 100 degrees this week, according to the National Weather Service.

You might have noticed, summer hasn’t gone anywhere. According to the National Weather Service, we can expect this July-like weather to last for a couple of days before cooling off in time for the weekend.

Tuesday's high will be 91 degrees, dropping to 74 degrees at night.

Wednesday will be another scorcher, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching the mid-90s during the day, but it may feel more like 100 degrees with the heat index. Temperatures should drop to the low-70s at night.

We may see some rain Thursday – there’s a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. But that won’t cool us off too much; temperatures are still expected to hit the low-90s during the day. At night there’s a 30 percent chance of showers before 2 a.m. and temperatures will drop to the high-60s.

Fall-like temperatures return Friday, with a high in the mid-70s during the day and a low close to 50 degrees at night.
