Phones Lines Back Up in Old Greenbelt

Early Wednesday, due a hardware failure, the telephones at Public Works, the Greenbelt Police Department, the Greenbelt Youth Center, the Greenbelt Aquatic and Fitness Center, and the Springhill Lake Recreation Center were down.

As of about 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, when I called the facilities they remained out, except for the police, who were operating on backup. But David Moran, assistant city manager, said repairs were underway. And indeed they were. By 3 p.m., when I checked on the facilities again, all my calls went through.
