Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, MD, has bet Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California that it is the Ravens, and not the 49ers, who will bring home the Lombardi trophy after Super Bowl XLVII.
One of the parks is in for a big surprise, as both of their presidents are convinced of victory.
"There's a lot of smack talk going on here between the two parks," said Havilah Ross, Six Flags America spokeswoman.
Among other hat-eating feats, the park president whose team loses has to don the winning team's jersey and cap all day — plus lift high a large banner outside his park congratulating the winners.
Convinced of victory, President Don McCoy of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom shot out an an email telling President Rick Howarth that he wanted to see him Kaepernicking in a 49ers jersey, according to Ross.
Howarth bounced back with an email saying he wanted to see McCoy cawing in a Ravens jersey, Ross said. The Six Flags America team even emailed Howarth a Ravens' sound clip, so he could practice his cawing, Ross added.
Confident of a Raven's win, Howarth said he has already sent McCoy a Ravens jersey and cap.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that the Ravens will be the champions on Sunday,” said Howarth. "I hope Discovery Kingdom has our winning banner ready to go right after the game on Sunday.”
