Jump Rope Champions Win 'Best in Parade'

Greenbelt's jump rope champions wow crowds and judges to win "Best in Parade" at the 57th Annual Greenbelt Labor Day Festival parade.

On Labor Day afternoon, at the festival's main stage, Bob Zugby announced that the winner of the "Best in Parade" category was the Greenbelt S.I.T.Y. Stars jump rope team. The acronym stands for:  sensational, inspiring, talented, youth.  The team received a trophy and cash prize, as did all first place winners, with first runners-up receiving cash. There is no runner-up in the "Best in Parade" category because it is the top award.
