Friends Dedicate Bench to Honor Sheldon Goldberg

Sheldon Goldberg's memory lives on. Greenbelters will gather Sunday to pay tribute to their friend.

. Nearly nine months later, memories of the man and his contributions to the Greenbelt community are drawing friends to Schrom Hills Park on Sunday, Sept. 18, to pay tribute.

The Advisory Planning Board and the Greenbelt East Advisory Coaltion (GEAC)—both of which Goldberg served on for about 20 years and also chaired for many years—will hold a brief ceremony and dedicate a bench in his honor. The bench is located near the pavilion.

Following the dedication, GEAC will hold a picnic with games, information tables and food from 1-4 p.m. in Schrom Hills Park.
